AU/RAU Series of Dill Rods
(PHD drill rods, HAU drill rod, NAU drill rod, BAU drill rod)
Description of products:
Drilling rod type:
AU series drilling rod is interchangeable with Q series coring drilling rod that is common in the international geological exploration industry. Taper threaded connection is adopted to facilitate connection and prevent stuck, and thread surface is hardened to greatly prolong service life of the thread.
Pipe body: Quality alloy steel pipe is adopted and 100% test is conducted for each raw material to ensure uniform concentricity, straightness and heat treatment.
Thread: Taper threaded connection (3 threads per inch) is adopted to facilitate connection and prevent thread stuck. Each thread is under relatively even stress, providing sufficient strength for product application.
Heat treatment: The whole undergoes heat treatment process to improve service life of products. Threads at both ends of the product undergo special process treatment to provide about 140% of material strength. Service life of inner thread improves obviously.
Thread surface hardening: after special process treatment, outer thread surface hardness is up to about 55HRC, which effectively avoids "sticking thread" and reduces abrasion and "stuck" due to engagement of thread;
RAU series product undergoes technical upgrading on the basis of AU product. Well drilling capability is improved and well drilling cost is decreased due to its stable and reliable connection.
Pipe body: quality alloy steel pipe is adopted and 100% test is conducted for each raw material to ensure uniform concentricity, straightness and heat treatment.
Thread: RAU thread product adopts taper (3 threads per inch) connection and taper and reverse load angle are increased simultaneously to enhance connection strength and assembling and disassembling convenience.
Heat treatment: The whole undergoes heat treatment process to improve service life of products. Threads at both ends of the product undergo special process treatment on the basis of AU series product to improve about 175% of material strength to further improve strength of material. Service life of inner thread improves obviously.
Thread surface hardening: after special process treatment, outer thread surface hardness is up to about 60HRC, which further improves service life of the product;
Good RAU thread product series provides high performance, strength and quality assurance for rope coring, enjoying wide application.
HD series product
Designed for large coring drilling, HD drilling rod features reliability, firmness and big thread. It is applicable for heavy rope coring.
Pipe body: Quality alloy steel pipe is adopted and 100% test is conducted for each raw material to ensure uniform concentricity, straightness and heat treatment.
Thread: Bigger and deeper thread (2.5 threads per inch) provides maximum durability. 40% load efficiency provides sufficient strength for well drilling with large diameter.
Thread surface hardening: after special process treatment, outer thread surface hardness is up to about 55HRC, which effectively avoids "sticking thread" and reduces abrasion and "stuck" due to engagement of thread;
WT casing series product
With its design beyond expectation for a casing, WT casing adopts taper threaded connection and allows recycling repeatedly. WT casing adopts DCDMA C80 compatible oil pipe and taper thread features increased strength, easy for installation and removal.
Pipe body: well wall oil pipe parallel to inner wall of AU product; it is allowed to be placed with standard DCDMA size between WT casing sizes.
Threaded connection: bigger and deeper thread (2.5 threads per inch) provides more durability and less taper joint and thread per inch. The casing features easier utilization and faster installation and removal. Under the circumstance of casing recycling, threads are easy to clean due to their wider spacing, and compatible with HD rod thread.
Technical instruction:
All rated values and recommendations are based on torque and tension load test of an independent mechanism; depth and load capability decrease with abrasion; actual performance may vary with operation conditions and well drilling methods; with depth increasing, additional torque is added to match with operation torque; the operation torque shall not exceed the theoretical torque.
